The concept of the project is based on adaptation and integration with the built context and the wider architectural heritage of the of Srem. In accordance with the conditions and recommendations in the task, a new concept of the atrium building is being moved into the existing concrete structure. The atrium thus becomes the symbolic center of gravity and the design determinant of the new center of Becmen.

The atrium is a public space that enables the organization of public gatherings, market days, festivals, exhibitions, summer cinema, public broadcasting of the national team, etc. It can be accessed from all premises in the building, except the supermarket. Visual connection with this space, both from inside and outside the building, encourages and strengthens the connection with users and visitors.

The new geometry of the object is the interpretation of the form and character of the heritage buildings with the creation of an attractive form as a modern response to the formation of a new multifunctional center. By breaking the symmetry of the existing structure and shifting the center of volume towards the Main Street and visually extending the building along Nikola Tesla Street, the new building harmonizes the spatial situation.
